Fender Stratocaster

 Up for auction is a vintage
Schecter Strat style pickguard. The pickguard is gold tone and I believe it is polished brass. This part dates from the early '80s from the Schecter Van Nuys era. This is a classic style pickguard setup for three single coil pickups and a 5-way switch.  The pickguard appears to be unused. there are no marks around any of the screw holes. There is, however, an area about 1/2 inch long on the edge where there are marks in the plating. It almost looks like a fingerprint. I've tried to show this in the photos. This part would be perfect for that vintage build or restoration. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

This piece comes from the collection of my brother,
Richard "Obe" Oblinger, who passed away in 2008. My brother was a
custom guitar builder and repairman and was well known in the L.A. area. He started his career at the famous Travis
Bean Guitars where he worked from 1975 until the company closed in 1979. While
there he worked on guitars for Jerry Garcia, Bill Wyman, Keith Richard, Rory
Gallagher, Joe Perry and others. After Bean closed he went to work at Schecter
Guitar Research in Van Nuys, Ca. and was the Guitar Shop Manager from 1980
until the shop was moved to Texas. While there he worked alongside Tom Anderson
building guitars for the likes of Pete Townsend and Mark Knopfler. When
Schecter was bought out and moved to Texas in 1984 he went over to Tobias Guitars. After that
he went out on his own building, repairing and restoring guitars from his home
shop. His client list included Jackson Browne, John Fogarty, David Lindley,
Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Stephen Stills and many others. We will be selling
off much of his 30+ year collection of guitars and parts including many rare
and vintage pieces from Travis Bean, Fender, Gibson, Mossman and others, so
