Fender Stratocaster

You are looking at a very cool and unique Fender Road Worn Strat. I have owned several of these and they are amazing guitars for the money-in fact I think they rival the Fender Vintage Series in many ways. Of the several that I have owned, I combined the best sounding and playing Road Worn body and neck that I had for this guitar. This one is unique in that it sports a '60's Olympic White alder body(nice light weight and VERY resonate) and an awesome feeling '50's Road Worn neck. Amazing SRV/blues tone with this guitar! You won't find this color/neck combination in the Road Worn series. I changed the stock Mexican bridge to an American Vintage style bridge with a Callaham solid steel block and Callaham hardened steel bridge mounting screws. This makes a huge difference in the tone-nice and ringy! The pickups are Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot with a base plate on the bridge pickup for added fatness (the bottom tone control is wired to the bridge pickup-the middle pickup is wired without a tone control, top tone control for the neck pickup). Also the electronics-the pots, pickup selector, wire, output jack etc are all Callaham cryogenically treated-see callaham.com to see what this process does for the tone of your guitar. The neck plate, strap buttons and trem springs etc. are all Callaham. The trem bar is a Callaham '64 virtual Pop-in made of stainless steel . The pickup covers, knobs and switch tip are from a US Fender Aged Accessory kit. The tuners and the string tree are the only original hardware on the guitar.  The frets have been leveled and recrowed and are very smooth and easy to play. The neck is straight an an arrow and is perfectly aligned so both E strings are well into the neck-no fretting out. No gaps between the neck and body, very tight fit.
