Fender Stratocaster

Hello. Up for sale is a 1986 Contemporary Strat.HSS. Your chance to own an important piece of Musical Equipment History. (Not A Squier) Made in Japan. This is a collectors item and not too many are around anymore. It's almost mint for a 30 year old guitar. "D" profile neck with a 12" radius. "BiFlex" truss rod adjustment at the top of the neck. Micro-tilt neck angle for fine adjustment. 22 medium jumbo frets. Fender Japan tuners, and 4 bolt neck plate. 11 screw pickguard. String locking. 25.5" scale length. ALL Black in color including head stock and back of neck. Fender Japan Electronics, including 2 Alnico single coils and 1 Alnico humbucking pickup, 5 position selector switch, 1 volume, 1 TBX (Treble Bass Expander - PASSIVE and cutting edge technology for 1986), Fender Schaller System I tremolo, rosewood fingerboard, 25.5" scale length, side mounted output jack. Guitar is excellent and in almost mint condition. Plays great and has the original whammy bar. Comes with Gig Bag.
The gentleman who purchased Fender in the Mid-80's realized the potential for an EVH style guitar. With a shortage of new parts at the time and an overstock of 1957-1962 parts, he decided to send over American-Made parts to build guitars that were, at the time, the hottest thing on the market. 
USA Bodies and Necks sent to Japan for hot-rodding with Locking Tremolos and HOT pickups/electronics. These guitars were the predecessors to the 90's Heavy Metal Strats. This was Fender's FIRST real attempt at competing with other Japanese companies who produced fast-playing, slim-neck guitars that screamed, stayed in tune, and were very versatile in sound. Leo Fender was quoted as saying "They are the best Strat's Fender has ever produced."
