This one is Custom shop good.  She just returned from my tech, action, trust rod, and tremelo are all set and ready to ROCK! His comment, 'this is is a well built guitar. They really paid attention to the little things, not found on most strats I see'. That perfectly explains this guitar. 

Swamp Ash body, the sought after Strat body with a beveled back top to sink into your body like a glove. The sound, the feel, the playability help make this instrument special.

It is basically brand new, maybe two hours of total play, but I am not a Fender Dealer.  I am a collector of fine instruments. I bought a few guitars from a major retailer and now can pass the savings of a bigger purchase to you...

Super special and highly collectible -- The pick-ups are hand wound by the now retired Abigail Ybarra fender long time guru of pick-ups. These are not her 'spec'd' pick-up crafted by another, but actually hand wound by Abby herself. She retired in 2012. Abby RED HOTS are truly special and highly collectable. Please google Abigail Ybarra if you are unfamiliar. 

The closet classic pro has many added features to the typical custom shop guitar. Like worn in Levi's. The tuners are nice and snug with a lightly aged look. The paint is nitrocellulose that shows like a well stored guitar that sat for years in a closet. The entire paint shows glazing in spider web-like manner. It is beautiful and see pictures to fully understand.  It's a living ageing process which continue to change over time as you make it your Strat.

This guitar has mojo, no bout a doubt that!

The greatest thing about this guitar however, is how it sounds.  I have never played a guitar this sweet. The Dunlop 6105 frets make bends and vibrato effortless. The greasebucket tone circuit allows for a gentle and musical roll off, where you don't just get mud. It's actually useable. Play with it, And find your sweet spot and then you have it. It's like having the EQ of your amp always at your fingertips. I am a fan. 

However, with that said, this guitar through an old tweed or blackface is like butter and marmalade. They just go together like hands and gloves. 

WHAT YOU RECEIVE. . . 

Custom Shop Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Hang Tags, Strap, CS Cable, CS Polish Cloth, Maintenance Tool KIT (yes the actual toolkit that customs with masterbuilt guitars), CS picks. This is NOT a masterbuilt guitar, But the neck fit reminds me of one. It really is put together with great care. I know it's a cliche but it rings out true in this case--Once you play a custom shop you will never go back.

Everyone dreams of finding a rare guitar untouched since the day it was placed in an attic or closet. The craftsmen at Fender's Custom Shop are giving us the next best thing! This Closet Classic Strat features an aged Dakota Red Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish over a select Swamp Ash body. The quartersawn Maple neck is carved in an Early '60s Oval neck profile for a great vintage feel. The neck joint is comfort carved for excellent upper fret access. "Abby" handwound pickups are wired to the now traditional 5-way switch, then to Fender's new Greasebucket tone control. The Greasebucket promises warm tone without any added muddiness. The 2-point tremolo allows for everything from subtle vibrato to wider pitch bending. The vintage style Gotoh/Fender tuners complete the vintage look.

Even though the guitar has been setup professionally, after shipping you may need to tweak it yourself or a pro.  That's just the nature of a guitar after shipping and after it's had a chance to acclimatize to your environment.
