Fender Stratocaster

The new American standards like this one are really some of the best Fender has made in a while. The Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups sound excellent for just about any style of music. I purchased this new in early 2014 and I have all the paperwork and original Fender flight case as well. It has never been gigged. It is in excellent condition with some light scratches on the back of the body (just light in the finish, very minor). Professionally setup and currently has 9-46 strings and 5 springs installed on the tremolo. The trem is still floating and works great! I also installed a Fender tortoise pickguard which looks great, and the original white guard is included. The backplate is also included.

Excellent fretwork on this one as well. I chose it from several other American standards available at the time. This is a real player and sounds wonderful! The neck is a very comfortable C shape and the 9.5" radius makes it easy to play chords comfortably as well as bend strings. I play blues mostly and the custom shop fat 50s pickups are my favorite. I use them in many of my other high end guitars as well. They have a sweet and warm sound that works so well
with a nice tube amp to add great touch sensitivity and classic Fender tone. These guitars also have a bridge pickup tone control standard which is great for fattening up lead tones. Even with the tone all the way up, the bridge pickup is very useful and doesn't sound too bright. Just a classic strat sound.

I have owned many high end guitars and when it comes to a great sounding and playing strat, I don't think you can do better than the classic American standard. If you love strats you should definitely pick up this American standard!
