Fender Stratocaster

I picked up this USA Fender Strat body in a trade / swap affair from a huge college football fan.  He was going to build him a Georgia Bulldog Fender Strat.  As you can tell by the pics, it has a really cool looking paint design.  It’s Georgia Bulldog orange trim, with clear lacquer over natural wood.  It’s well done and rather unique.  I’ve never seen a Strat design like it.  Something else that caught my attention, is he had it set up to take either a vintage, or 2 post tremolo.  That’s definitely different.

Not sure if it is alder or ash, it looks to be a 2 piece.  It may be 3, but the wood grain runs so good together it’s hard to tell.  He has a little fill around one of the post sets, and some router work in the tremolo cavity, but between an installed pick guard and a tremolo unit you would never be able to see it.  The body seems in great condition.  A few minor surface scratches, but they blend into the natural wood making them hard to see.  Even if you don’t like the color, strip it and start over.  It’s a good looking USA Fender Body.  I’m sure someone has a use for it, rather than it sitting in my shop collecting dust.
