Fender Stratocaster

For your consideration:
Fender Stratocaster - Blonde - 1979 vintage. This Stratocaster has always been
a joy to play and it still is. I play classical these days and this guitar just
sits in the case. Although I always thought of this as "the guitar I'll never
sell", I have come to decide that it is time to let it go to someone who can
enjoy it.

This is a CBS
three-bolt Strat and is only going to appreciate so the winning bidder is going
to have a very worthy investment. Weighs 9lb 6oz. This is not your usual balsawood
Stratocopy.

The guitar is
original except for the graphite nut and the replaced frets. I had it refretted
about twelve years ago with standard frets by Performance Guitar, Hollywood
CA and it has been played only very little since then. In fact, I stopped playing
altogether for about eight years and then took up acoustic. As the guitar had
not been played for a long time, I had a set-up, pot lube and fret dressing
done in December of last year, again by Performance Guitar. Performance are
one of the most highly regarded guitar shops you will find. They are as good
as it gets and they do outstanding work. They went through the guitar and the
only issue noted was that the five-way toggle switch is a little worn and will
eventually have to be replaced. In full-forward, or neck, position, it can be
scratchy and occasionally can cut out. This is an inexpensive repair and the
toggle switches are readily available.

As you can see,
there is a collection of small dings, collected over the years, and some blistering
of the paintwork. The case is on the dirty side but the inside is excellent.
I am also throwing in a good assortment of cords.

The guitar is
beautiful and plays superbly!
