Fender Stratocaster

Up for sale is a 98 Fender Strat, fully loaded with killer mods for some serious looks as well as tone. At first glance you can see this is not like any Strat youve ever seen before, and I call the the "Black n Chrome" Tone Machine. This has been totally done from the ground up, here are the specs of what been done to make this the Show Stopper it is....

The body is a Black Alder 98 MIM body, Chrome hardware with Fender Stamped Vintage Style Bridge. The pickguard is real raised Diamond plate with a single Humbucker and Single Volume, which is topped by a Chrome Knob. 500k Pots and have great action for volume swells, but are very accurate and tight, no cracking or sticking. The pick up is a Seymour Duncan JB SH-4. The coils can be split by pulling the volume knob up. I chose this pickup because of the versility of the sounds you can get when splitting the coils, and use them in most of my guitars. Ive lent to a friend to play a few songs in ome of his bands and he ran through the full spectrum, from a clean single coil for some Chicken Pickin, Crunch Single and Hum for a SRV tune to a BLS song loaded with gain I got up and did and got very high praises for the sound and even more so on its looks. Fender Strap buttons and output jack with Black Trem cover. The neck plate is a custom engraved "Fender Corona California" for that custom look. The only issue I can see on the body is a scratch right below the tremolo, about 2 and 1/2 inches long, it could probablly be buffed out, as it does not go through the paint.

The neck is a MM Lic. by Fender 2 piece Maple neck with Black Front and Side markers and Jumbo frets. Now, this isnt your typical neck you see being sold on ebay, I have had the neck fully re-vamped with a full fret job, leveled, crowned, dressed and polished and I had the standard plastic nut replaced with a black Trem nut, specially designed for better string bending and eliminates all string buzz. All neck work was done by CEG Hardtails, Ive been dealing with them with my necks for a long time and they are one of the best in the business as far as I am concerned. They can be contacted at [email protected] if you ever need work done. The tuners are USA made Sperzel Locking tuners and keep it in tune perfectly. I will admit to one issue on the tuners....it was my first time installing Sperzels and did not have the template for drilling, so they are not in a perfect straight line, one, maybe two are just a little bit off, but from a few feet away, you cannot really even tell, but this has absoutly NO effect on tuning stability or playability at all. It has a Silver Fender Metallic decal with "Made in USA" underneath the "Stratocaster and Serial number under the "Fender". I chose this one to keep with the full Black n Chrome motif. The decal is a waterslide and looks just as good, if not better than a factory finished one. I still have to install the string tree, which will be done by shipping time and I unfortunally do not have a trem bar for it,  but a Black tipped one would make this axe complete, I used another one white tipped, but it doesnt go) and still keeps in tune awsomely.

The guitar will come with a soft padded case with the "Marshall" loge on the neck part of it so you can represent your amp, if thats what you use, as well. I can send pics of it on request. I will be putting this guitar up for sale locally on Friday, but if it has bids here on ebay, I will not pull the item and not list locally.
